작가 소개:
Hohyung Lee는 미국 LA에서 활동 중인 한인 교포 사진가로 Stephen Shore, Elliott Erwitt, Greg Girard와 같은 사진작가들의 영향을 받았습니다.
그는 어린 나이에 가족들과 함께 미국으로 이민을 가게 되며 낯선 서구 문화에 적응하던 중 카메라에 흥미를 느끼게되었습니다.
고등학교 시절 암실 수업을 통해 필름 사진에 빠져들게 되어, 사진을 촬영하기 시작했습니다.

About the photographer/book:
I think it's very important to capture what you see around you because your environment is constantly changing.
For example, everyone has a favorite burger shop they've been going to since they were young.
One day, you might be driving back to your hometown and find out that the burger joint is now another boring fast-food chain.
Because of my obsession with nostalgia and the history of my surroundings, I felt the urge to document where I'm from.
But also, it gave me a chance to show the colors and compositions that I've collected over the past years through my eyes.
These are my colors from LA.< FROM LA> is a photobook created from many photowalks capturing unique LA scenery on film.
Photographs in the book are mainly comprised of street photography scenes with classic cars, old buildings, and others that brings nostalgia.
